The city of Changchun, capital of Jilin province, will be holding its 14th International Agriculture and Food Expo, August 14 - 23, at its agricultural expo center.

Nine items will be added this year - an exhibit of agricultural informatization, high-tech agricultural equipment, a sculpture show, a modern agriculture seminar, Asia-Pacific agriculture and food safety conference, a healthy agriculture innovation seminar, special agricultural products press conference, agricultural high-tech promotion fair, and a China corn industry exhibition.

Sui Zhongcheng, the vice-governor, was present for an expo press conference, on June 4, where they announced the key words for this year's expo - science, green, exchanges, culture and trade - and that the focus will be on modern agriculture, increased trade and high-tech applications, and an agriculture revolution. The organizing committee has said that hundreds of agricultural enterprises from 20 countries including the United States, France, and Germany, as well as domestic companies from the cities of Shanghai, Suzhou, Jinhua, and Hefei and Taiwan have signed up for the expo.
