The capital of Jilin province, Changchun, will be putting on its Chinese Culinary Culture Festival in the city's International Conference & Exhibition Center, starting August 14, according to a press conference on the event that was held on June 16.
The three-day event will offer a summer feast for locals, with some fine food, wines, music and recreational activities, with the idea of promoting regional culinary exchanges across the country and giving the country's catering business a boost.
There will be dozens of famous food brands and caterers taking part in the festival, with some live shows, cooking competitions, and tasting activities with a discount for locals, and the organizers have explained that they worked hard to encourage all the cuisine associations across the country and famous brands to take part.
They are also cooperating with the largest online business-to-business catering site to provide "Internet Plus" services by combining the mobile Internet, cloud computing, big data and the Internet of Things to help participating enterprises.
There will also be simultaneous events, such as the Changbai Mountains catering leadership summit, a food purchasing conference, Northeastern food carnival, and Jilin daily life service expo scheduled.
This culinary culture festival will be a permanent event and China's third largest, after the China Chef Festival and Chinese Food Festival.
Sponsors of the event are the China Cuisine Association and the cuisine associations of Jilin, Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces, with help from sister associations in the cities of Beijing and Tianjin, Hebei and Shaanxi provinces, and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
