The two special guests, an 8-year-old male weighing 106 kg and a 7-year-old female weighing 96 kg, had a debut at the Changchun Airport and then were ferried to the park's panda house and appeared to be in good condition after the long flight, peering curiously out of their cages.

Jilin will be their home for the next three years, in the 500,000-sq-m park, also a wildlife research center and a part of the city's national AAAAA forest park, which combines ecology, tourism, and wildlife science teaching, and also houses free-roaming Siberian tigers, an endangered species.
After the pair got settled in, they got a physical examination, for disease prevention and quarantine purposes by park veterinarians and their keepers from back home. They will be introduced to the public on July 1.
