Changchun Summer Charity Run to help village school
2015-07-27
When the Shangri-La Hotel in the city of Changchun, Jilin province, held its 2nd Charity Run at the Moon Lake National Forest Park, on July 19, to raise money for better teaching facilities at the Xin Jia School in the province’s Yitong county, it attracted more than 500 local and foreign runners, according to a hotel press release, on July 20.
The charity run is an important part of the Changchun Summer Relaxation Festival and provided a healthy, trendy, fun, enjoyable and caring experience that highlighted a 5-kilometer Colour Bubble Mini Marathon in the forest and a Summer Carnival Party.
This run is completely different from a traditional marathon. It requires all participants to begin by passing through a 30-metre-long bubble-foam pool on a grassy area and to run through a forest filled with fun games to the finish which has an exciting bubble carnival party. The whole journey is like experiencing a bubble bath from head to toe and, instead of pursuing speed, it emphasizes "participation, entertainment and love".
