Bayin Chaolu, the Party secretary of Jilin province, met with participants of the 4th World Industrial Leaders Conference and International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum, in the city of Changchun, capital of Jilin, on Aug 31, to signal the wider opening of Jilin and to encourage international exchanges and cooperation in industry development.

Bayin Chaolu opened the meeting by saying, "Jilin province has economic and trade relations with 155 countries and regions and is beginning cooperation with Fortune 500 companies and multinationals in trade, technology and agriculture," then added that he hopes the world industrial leaders can take part in Jilin's development so that everybody wins.

In responding, Susanne Kurz, vice-president of Austria's Federal Council, congratulated Jilin on its social and economic development and said that Austria will increase communications with Jilin to create new cooperation.

Taking part in the talks were Eamon Gilmore, former deputy PM of Ireland, Wang Yang, senior vice-president of IBM, and other government and enterprise officials from China and abroad.
