This year's Jingyuetan Marathon in the city of Changchun, Jilin province, on Sept 12, pulled in about 2,000 participants, 200 of them from overseas, according to a Xinhua report on Sept 13.

This is the fifth time for the city to hold the event. It has three levels – a halfway marathon for athletes from overseas, a halfway marathon for athletes from China, and a mini marathon. The halfway covers 21.09 kilometers and the mini covers 3 kilometers.
