The museum, which sits on the south bank of the Songhua River, near the Jilin bridge, is China's first and only museum dealing with meteor showers and contains the world's largest stony meteorite, named Jilin-1, as well as meteorite pieces sent in by other countries. It also describes the formation and movements of meteorites through a spherical screen that uses 3D technology to give visitors a closer view of the universe.
