Predictions are that the number of parcels will be well over 700 million, or 42 percent more than for the last year figure, even though, when the tough winter weather is taken into consideration, it is still possible that there will be delays.

This unofficial day, also known as Guanggun Festival, was chosen because of the many "1"s in the date, which, to some, represent single status. And, online shop owners come on with promotions during the festival to boost sales during a traditionally slow season.
