Books published by the Jilin Publishing Group are now available for sale in the China Bookstore in Sydney, Australia, the biggest Chinese bookstore in the Southern Hemisphere.
A ceremony was held on Feb 26 during the Australia-China Jilin Radio and Television Week that opened on Feb 24 in Australia's China Bookstore, with Gao Fuping, director of Jilin's publicity department, and Liu Xiaohua, general manager of the Australia's China Bookstore taking part.
This marked the first time that the Jilin Publishing Group established a long-term sales shelf at a bookstore outside of China.
The books are about current affairs, art, traditional culture, life, and children. Varieties will be added in accordance with demand.
The Australia China Bookstore was founded in 1994 and is now the biggest supplier of Chinese studies books for local Chinese children and schools.
"Selling Jilin Publishing Group's books is a new chapter. It surely will serve as a new window for Australian readers to gain an understanding about modern China's economic development, culture, and social life," said Liu Xiaohua.
Jilin Publishing Group also signed cooperation agreements with local publishing houses during the Australia-China Jilin Radio and Television Week.
