Cool way to woo visitors to Ji'an

Ji'an, a small city on the north bank of the Yalu River, in Jilin province in China's Northeast has seen its summer cool attracting more tourists. The yellow of its blooming rapeseed pulled tourists in from the latter half of June to mid-July. Elsewhere in China, rapeseed plants blossom from early March to May.

Then, there's the steady rainfall that keeps the mountains and fields covered in green, while the Yalu River winds through the city. people come here to avoid the summer heat elsewhere and to take in some of the fresh air.
