More paradise, less glacier at Shenyang zoo

Updated: 2010-02-03

Even the animals at Animal Paradise Glacier don't want to deal with a heavy snowstorm.

Luckily they didn't have to last Sunday, as the Shenyang, Liaoning-based zoo's heating system kept them safe from the pelting snow and inclement weather.

"All of our animals were shielded during the snowstorm with the help of heating systems that were in full operation to protect them," said an official surnamed Li.

"Although the snow caused many problems for people, it hardly had any impact on the life of the animals in the zoo as we were well-prepared for bad weather." Li said.
