Shenyang Construction Committee plans to build 6 new stadiums, improve 9 existing stadiums and prepare 13 back-up and training stadiums. All of these construction works will commence on October 1, 2010. Test runs will start in October 2012.

Among the 13 existing stadiums, four of them are ready for formal games, while nine other stadiums need improvement. These reconstructions include timing system, scoring system, media center, stimulant testing center and communication facilities.

Shenyang will also prepare 3 back-up stadiums and 9 stadiums for training. They will be based on existing stadiums too.
