145 Liaoning ancient books listed in the "National Precious Ancient Book" List

One hundred and forty-five Liaoning ancient books were listed in the third "National Precious Ancient Book List" on August 2, ranking seventh in China.

The third "National Precious Ancient Book List" includes 2,989 ancient books, and the 145 Liaoning ones are from nine sources: the Liaoning Provincial Library, Dalian Library, Jinzhou Library, Lvshun Museum, Liaoning Provincial Museum, Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum, Liaoning University Library, Chinese Medical University Library and Shenyang Normal University Library. Among them, the Shenyang Library and Liaoning University Library are listed as "key sources of national ancient books to be given special attention."

Since 2008, the Ministry of Culture has organized three appraisals of the "National Precious Ancient Book List" and "key sources of national ancient books to be given special attention." Liaoning province stands in the forefront for boasting 467 listed ancient books. In addition, the Liaoning Provincial Library, Dalian Library, Shenyang Library and Liaoning University Library are listed as “key sources of national ancient books to be given special attention.”
