The 7th East Asia International Travel Fair will be held at the Dalian Star-Sea Convention and Exhibition Center Oct 15 to Oct 17.

The fair will feature 650 exhibit booths, including 160 for overseas tourism organizations from 15 countries including the United States, Russia and ItalyTourism bureaus and enterprises from 15 provinces in China, apart from Liaoning Province and the city of Dalian, will occupy 120 exhibition booths.

An opening ceremony and golf competition will be among the scheduled activities at the fair, which will promote tourism development in Dalian to help bring new industries to the traditional industrial base in Northeast China.

Officials say they hope the travel fair will promote a new image of Dalian to the world as an important travel destination.
