Liaoyang High-tech Industrial Zone, located in Northeast China’s Liaoning province, has been upgraded from a provincial high-tech industrial zone to be a national one.
Owing to its position as a manufacturing base for the arematic hydrocarbon, Liaoyang High-tech Industrial Zone is set to develop into one of the largest domestic manufacturing bases for nylon resins, specialty fibers and engineering plastics
By the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) period, 15 enterprises with sales revenue over 1 billion yuan are expected to have located within the zone. Total gross production aims to break 120 billion yuan.
The zone benefits from convenient logistics facilities. Located in the southeast of Liaoyang, Liaoyang provincial High-tech Industrial Zone was founded in 1992. It covers a planned area of 4.4 square kilometers and is 50 kilometers from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. The Shenyang-Dalian Expressway and Harbin-Dalian Railway run through the zone from north to south, while the Liaoyang-Benxi Railway and Benxi-Liaoyang Expressway from east to west. Together with Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan and Yingkou, Liaoning province is currently home to five national high-tech industrial zone.
