Governor of Liaoning province in Northeast China Chen Zhenggao inspected key projects in Dandong on August 20.

Chen visited the construction site of China-DPRK Yalu Boundary Highway Bridge, which will play an important role in promoting friendship between the two peoples and expanding business relations of the two sides.

He also visited Dandong Mechanical Instruments and Meters Industrial Base, where he pointed out Dandong's special advantages in the optometrical industry. Dandong shall improve its infrastructures and investment policies to attract more investors for the city's economic growth.

The central government attached great importance to the development and opening-up of the economic belt off Liaoning coast. Dandong's coastal economic belt is facing a promising future due to its economic and geographical advantage as wells as its solid industrial foundation.
