Liaoning and Taiwan signed an agreement on economic and trade cooperation at Crown Plaza Hotel in Dandong city on September 9. Nineteen projects were signed, including three involving Dandong city, with an investment worth $123 million. More than 30 businessmen from Taiwan came to the city to make trade negotiations.
Wang Yi, director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC, Liaoning governor Chen Zhenggao and Lin Fengzhen, vice-chairman of Chinese Nationalist Party (Kuomintang), attended the ceremony.
Three projects signed between Dandong and Taiwan were:
Master Kong mineral water project between Taiwain Ting Hsin International Group and Dandong's Environment Protection Industrial Park, worth $50-million.
Life and health industrial base project between Taiwan Silestone Industry Co Ltd and Lingang Industrial Park, involving an investment worth $38 million. Under the agreement, a scientific, industrial and trade base with a focus on biotechnology, medicine and medical instrument trades with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will be built.
Taiwan Rongwu Technology and Culture Industrial Park project between Taiwan Rongwu Investment Co Ltd and Lingang Industrial Park is dedicated to the deep processing of agricultural and sideline products.
