From October 23 to 28, the Dandong economic and trade delegation, headed by the city's acting mayor Shi Guang, visited Hong Kong to attract investments.

During the visit, Dandong introduced 25 key projects in fields of urban and suburban construction, industrial production and real estate.

The visit made historical breakthroughs in attracting hotel projects. Two five-star hotels, the Dandong Hilton and the Dandong Sheraton, and the four-star hotel project of the Guangdong Hotel Management Group are about to be constructed in the city.

The theme of the promotion activity in Hong Kong is "new city & new town". Dandong's main target projects included the city's conference and exhibition business zone, hot spring development and the Fenghuang Mountain development project.

During the event, the delegation communicated with more than 20 companies, including Hong Kong Pearl Oriental Innovation Limited, Singapore Wanshenghao International Group and Hong Kong Sunbase International (Holdings) Ltd. The Dandong delegation signed nine projects. Some local businessmen also expressed their intention to invest in Dandong .

Dandong also reached cooperation agreements with the Whipple IT Industrial Park Project of Hong Kong Hung Yick (China) Co Ltd, UPS Manufacturing Base Project of Powercom Co Ltd and Liaoning Sike Sic-Tec Project of Hong Kong Bofa International Trade Co Ltd.
