The Dandong municipal government held a meeting that analyzed the city's industries and economy on Nov 18. Decisions on the development of industrial clusters and economy were discussed at the meeting.

Since early this year, the industrial economy in Dandong has been making steady progress. Industrial clusters with local characteristics have taken shape in various counties and districts. From January to October, the total value added from industrial enterprises was 25.63 billion yuan ($4.04 billion), a 15.3 percent year-on-year increase.

Acting mayor Shi Guang said that efforts should be put forth to guide enterprises in coordinating the supply of coal, electricity, oil and transportation. Relevant departments should provide quality service and allocate resources for project implementation.

Dandong's economy is focusing on the balanced utilization of available resources and practical development. Based on its resource and geographical advantages, Dandong will further develop and promote basic and industrial structures and tertiary sectors.
