On the evening of Dec 10, at the China Central Television (CCTV) performance hall, the host announced that Dandong won the gold medal for youth group in the National Traditional Opera Fans Competition.

At the invitation from CCTV, Dandong's training center for culture and childrens opera participated in the fourth National Traditional Opera Fans Competition. They performed a few traditional Beijing operas, including Silver Spear and General and Premier Make Up.

In terms of individual performance, Dandong's Jiang Shuyuan won the gold medal for the youth group with the opera Wild Boar Forest, and Wang Ruijie and Li Linghao gained the silver and bronze medal.

The competition is held every four years by CCTV. This year, as many as 34 actors from Dandong participated in the competition and were accompanied by 12 teachers and 33 parents.
