Dandong plans a 30 percent growth in agricultural product export in 2012, according to the Dandong municipal agricultural product export training conference held on May 4, 2012. To achieve this goal, the city will focus on the construction of the agricultural product export demonstration base and cultivate key export enterprises of agricultural products.

The city's export of agricultural products has always been among the top ones in Liaoning province. For the first two months, the export of agricultural products reached $103 million, a year-on-year increase of 40 percent.

Dandong will pay special attention to the strawberry, shellfish and fish export demonstration bases in Donggang, the berry and Chinese chestnut bases in Fengcheng as well as the freshwater fish and edible wild vegetable bases in Kuandian.
