The charitable school library program, jointly launched by the Dandong Daily and the Dandong municipal charity federation, has raised nearly 100,000 yuan ($15,820) and established school libraries for 18 schools in Dandong.

To bring more books to remote schools in rural areas of Dandong, the program has decided to initiate a donation event to raise money before the International Children's Day on June 1.

Only 5,000 yuan is enough for building a school library.
