The 2012 Sino-DPRK Economy, Trade, Culture and Tourism Expo will unveil in Dandong from Oct 12 to 16, 2012, according to the Dandong Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

More than 400 export manufacturers to the Democratic People's Republic of China over the country will be invited to attend the Expo. It will cover 12 product categories such as textiles and clothings, electronic products and appliances, grain and oils as well as light industrial machines.

A 500-people delegation from the DPRK will take part in the expo, 115 of whom are performers from the DPRK Music and Dance Troupe. Over 300 people are business traders from 10 business fields including clothing, folk culture, food, medical care, electric products, building materials, agriculture and machinery.

With the theme, "Friendship, Cooperation and Development", this expo will be composed of four events: a commodity expo and economic trade fair, an artwork expo, artistic exchange performances, as well as a tourism resources exhibition and cooperation fair.

To date, the preparatory work for the expo is under way. This June, the volunteer recruitment and selection process for the expo will begin.
