A series of energy saving publicity activities themed, "Energy saving, low carbon and green development" opened in Dandong, northeast China's Liaoning province, on June 10, 2012.

The energy saving publicity week starts from June 10 and lasts until June 16 each year in China. Fifteen departments including the Dandong Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Dandong Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and Dandong Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau will publicize various policies and regulations on energy conservation and emission reductions.

New energy-saving products such as building materials, LED streetlights and solar energy thermal systems will be displayed during the week.
