The Dandong delegation, led by Shi Guang, mayor of Dandong, finished their business trip to Shanghai on July 18. Focusing on drawing investments in the modern service industry, industrial clusters, county development and new downtown construction, the delegation has achieved a good result.

During the seven-day visit, the delegation negotiated with over 80 enterprises for about 50 projects. The face-to-face talk between investors and delegates helped solve problems in investment, bringing about contracts and early operation of several projects.

Dandong put emphasis on introducing industries to the city rather than attracting enterprises to invest in Dandong. The priority of the campaign is given to the development of industrial clusters in the city. Over 10 industrial clusters in areas such as renewable resources, instruments, textiles and apparel have attracted billions of yuan of investment from leading enterprises and high value-added projects.

The modern service industry and county reconstruction feature as another light spot of the campaign. As many as 27 projects in the modern service industry and 10 projects in the county development of Donggang, Fengcheng and Kuandian were favored by investors. Investors also showed interest in high-level service industry development in Dandong.

The delegation negotiated with domestic and foreign enterprises about projects in relocation of petrochemical industries in Dandong and visited the headquarters of several leading enterprises.
