New policies on export tax rebates began official implementation on July 1. The new policies directly benefit 1,686 export enterprises in Dandong, in northeast China's Liaoning province.
The international financial crisis has had a negative impact on export trade in Dandong this year. Many export enterprises suffered from cash flow problems due to the inability to take payment for goods. In a bid to solve this problem, local government departments expedited the examination and approval of tax rebates as well as carry over tax rebate policies.
According to statistics in the first half of 2012, export tax rebates reached 707 million yuan ($110.9 million), with a year-on-year increase of 40.3 percent.
