An aerospace summer camp opened on August 6 in Dandong, Liaoning province. Over 150 teenagers from 8 to 18 years old participated in the camp.

Teenagers in the camp attended lectures on basic aerospace theories, learned how to make model planes and watched model performances. Sui Wenfeng, an 8-year-old boy, said he often played with toy planes but had never made a model. He was very excited to fly the plane model he built.

The camp was organized by the Dandong Association for Science and Technology, Dandong Education Bureau and local government departments. It aims to spread aerospace knowledge among youngsters and develop their interest in aviation technology.
