A Maple Leaf Festival will kick off in Dandong, Liaoning province, as Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day draw near. As many as 12 activities will be held during the festival, including a self-driving tour, a rural experience trip and a Manchu ethnic group folk cultural exhibition.

The Dandong-Tonghua Highway will open on Sept 26, bringing new tourism opportunities to Kuandian.

The Kuandian publicity and tourism departments have made use of websites and micro blog to release local tourism information. Journalists and reporters from network media will also be invited to visit Kuandian.
