Updated: 2014-09-03
The history of Huishan can be traced to 1951. Due to its long-term commitment to China's dairy industry in exploring the whole industry chain development model and solving the core issue of dairy safety from the source, it has become a leading enterprise in the promotion of China's dairy milk quality.
Huishan has successively invested and constructed dairy cow breeding and dairy processing industry cluster projects in Shenyang, Jinzhou, Fuxin, Fushun, Tieling and other places. After years of layout, it has gradually formed a development pattern that features grass planting, fine feed processing, fine cow feeding and breeding, whole category dairy processing, dairy development and quality control.
Currently, Huishan has 240,000 mu (16,000 hectares) of alfalfa and supplementary feed plantations, 300,000 tons of cow dedicated fine feed processing plants, more than 120,000 imported purebred cows, 54 large-scale self-support pastures and four modern dairy processing production bases. Huishan has the most large-scale self-support pastures in China, the largest Jersey cattle breeding base in China and the most concentrated alfalfa planting base in China. It is the first large-scale dairy enterprise with a milk source all from self-support scaled pastures.
Huishan products cover infant formula milk powder, liquid milk and other product categories. A perfect production management system and advanced technical support make Huishan products higher quality. Meanwhile, Huishan is the first domestic enterprise with commercial production qualification for desalted whey powder.
In Sept 2013, Huishan was officially listed on the HKEx raising a total of $1.3 billion, ranking among the top 10 global consumer products companies in terms of IPO. On the first day, its market value was nearly HK$40 billion, among the top three in the market value of an overseas listed Chinese dairy company.
