The US's General Electric Co has announced that it has completed work on a wind-energy training center in Shenyang, Liaoning province as China's first of its kind and GE's first to be built in Asia and its third worldwide.
The announcement, on April 15, said that the center will rely on Shenyang's manufacturing capacity to provide trainees with firsthand knowledge on the technology of this particular kind of fan, the flow of wind energy generation. Meanwhile, the center is also the first in Asia to conduct all-practical high altitude rescue training.
Present at the center's opening ceremony were GE's manager for renewable energy land wind energy for greater China, Li Feng, the training center's manager, Uwe Sarrazin, and the US's consul general in Shenyang, Scott Weinhold.
