Delegates visit China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park

A delegation of the Hokkien chamber of commerce in Liaoning province, visited the China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shenyang on Aug 18, Shenyang Daily reported.
The 36-member delegation took a tour of the park in order to find out more about it, as well as to learn from it, and hopefully further economic ties.
The China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, which is located in Northeast China’s Shenyang City, Liaoning province, was approved by the State Council on Nov 23, 2015; with the aim of building it into a platform for the Made in China 2025 strategy, and the German Industry 4.0 strategy.
The park covers 488 square kilometers, with a population of about 1.2 million people. It houses a few main industry types, including high-end equipment, automobile production and industrial services. At the moment there are 35 foreign enterprises in the park, including Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW), Basf and Metro.
Li Baojun, duty director of the park, welcomed the delegates and introduced the achievements of the park. He also expressed his hopes that more businesses would invest and settle in the park.
Chen Keyuan, chairman of the Hokkien chamber of commerce in Liaoning province, was impressed by the achievements of the park and expressed his interest in seeking more cooperation opportunities.
The delegates also visited the Ceramic City, a comprehensive ceramic products market, and BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd –– a Shenyang-based joint venture by the BMW Group and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd.
