Liaoning province in Northeast China recently announced its first group of provincial industrial design centers.

Provincial industrial design centers refer to businesses that undertake industrial design and have innovative ability, and distinct development characteristics. The title is assessed and granted by Liaoning Provincial Industrial and Informatization Commission.

Liaoning province granted 11 businesses the title of provincial industrial design center, of which eight businesses are from Shenyang city –– Liaoning province’s capital city –– including Fantian Design Co, a leading Chinese business mainly undertaking large-scale industrial design, and Brilliance Auto Engineering Research Institute.

At present, Shenyang is experiencing a multiple industry development trend, which is expected to play an important role in the improvement of the city’s industrial design capacity, according to an official from Shenyang’s industrial and informatization commission.
