Li Xi, Party secretary of Liaoning province, recently toured the provincial capital of Shenyang to inspect the work done at creating an international business environment. He stressed that improving the business environment was key to economic reform.
On Feb 3, Li first paid a visit to the Tumen residential community in Shenyang’s Heping district. He talked with staff and learned about the services provided for residents and businesses in the area.
Li stressed the importance of community services in affecting an area’s profile, stressing that all staff members should provide the best customer service possible.
During Li’s visit to an office that deals with complaints on Shenyang’s business environment, he expressed his hopes that the service would fulfill its role and serve as a bridge between businesses and the government.

Li also visited a precision equipment manufacturing company at the end of his Shenyang tour. He listened to work reports from Shenyang’s business representatives, government officials and business environment supervisors.
Li expressed his appreciation for the efforts and achievements that the Shenyang government has made in creating an international business environment.
“Government officials should enact more preferential business policies and listen to businesses’ concerns,” said Li.
Government officials will now be assessed on how well they are providing services for businesses in their local areas –– a measure proposed by Li.
