Shenyang is to establish two metro lines by the end of this year, in a bid to improve its transport infrastructure.
The planned metro line 3 starts from Baoma Street Station in the west of Shenyang’s urban area, and ends at Xintai Street Station in the east of the city. The line will play an important role in connecting the key points along the east-west route.
The other new line, metro line 6 running from south-north, links Yalujiang Street Station in the north to Yingchun Street Station in the south.
Currently, the engineering investigation project of the two metro lines is accepting bids, and the formal engineering investigation work is expected to start this May and finish by the end of June. Furthermore, the lines will start construction by the end of this year.
