A delegation from Shenyang, Liaoning province, led by Gao Hang, head of the city’s foreign trade bureau, visited Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and Xiamen, Fujian province, from Jan 2-3, and hosted promotion conferences.

The conferences, themed on “Charming Ancient City, Energetic Capital, Hometown Welcomes You”, were aimed at attracting Shenyang-born entrepreneurs from the two cities to return and invest in their hometown.

The Zhejiang conference was attended by 23 Shenyang-born entrepreneurs including Zhou Guanglu, head of Zhejiang Commerce Chamber and chairman of Jurong Group, Yu Mingzhu, chairman of Zhejiang Chuangda New Energy Technology Co, and Bao Yuanjun, general manager of Zhongyi International Trade Co.

The Fujian conference was attended by 22 Shenyang-born entrepreneurs including Guo Shizheng, head of Chinasoft International Internet School of Jimei University, Wu Jing from Xiamen Junwei Trade Co, and Wang Changhui, general manager of Xiamen Carbon Fiber Tech Group.

Officials at Shenyang Foreign Trade Bureau explained local preferential policies and invited Shenyang-born businesspeople to invest in their hometown and promote its development on behalf of the city’s authorities.

Gao Hang also introduced the city’s opportunities and advantages during the process of creating an international business environment and expressed his wishes to invite the entrepreneurs to return home.

The entrepreneurs in attendance praised the city’s strategies of bringing back native businesspeople and expressed their intentions to return and strengthen cooperation with Shenyang, to give advice on the city’s development.
