The passenger flow at Lijiang Airport is expected to reach 2,500,000 this year based on the current passenger growth rate, says the airport.

In the first half of 2012, the airport saw 11,953 flight movements, up 32.9 percent year on year. The throughput of passengers and cargo reached 1,280,933 and 3,041 tons, an increase of 35 percent and 115.8 percent from last year respectively. Transportation at Lijiang Airport is improving and beginning to resume growth.

The airport will make the Lijiang-HongKong air route regular and open new flights to Seoul and Bangkok in the short term. It will continue to attract new international airlines and strengthen its role as a port.
