Lijiang Yulong Tourism Co achieved gross revenues of 589 million yuan ($94.7 million) in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 6.18 percent. The company sees great potential in Lijiang's tourism market. It seeks to integrate the area’s surrounding tourism resources.
In 2012, the tourism market in Lijiang grew and cableway businesses expanded steadily. Lijiang received 15.99 million tourists in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 35.05 percent, including 15.14 million domestic tourists, a year-on-year increase of 36.69 percent. The cableway in the Yulong Snow Mountains received 1.20 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 33.46 percent. Although the Yushanping cableway and the Maoniuping cableway all saw a decrease in tourists, the company still estimates that the growth rate of the three cableways will remain steady at 5 to 6 percent in 2013.
New projects have also maintained steady progress. The main part of the Ganhaizi Service Center project has been completed and will be put into trial business in September 2013. The South Entrance of the Old Town of Lijiang will be completed and opened in 2013.
