'Best Tour Guide of Lijiang' concludes

The final round of the “Best Tour Guide of Lijiang” contest was held on April 18. The contest was jointly sponsored by the Lijiang municipal tourism bureau and the local broadcasting and TV station. Ten tour guides stood out from the 16 candidates after two rounds of competition as "Top 10 Tour Guides in Lijiang", while. the other six were named as outstanding tour guides.

The contestants’ love for Lijiang, their tourism work and clients, their rich knowledge, and their quality and efficient services impressed the judges very much. They were recognized as representatives of more than 3,000 certified tour guides in Lijiang.

He Linhai, deputy director of the tourist bureau, announced the winners after the contest. He said that the “Best Tour Guide of Lijiang” contest celebrates the work spirit, life meaning and core social values of the tourism industry. It also helps the public gain a better understanding of tourist guides and show more respect to their work. He hoped that the tour guides could work industriously in promoting Lijiang into an international tourist attraction and contribute to healthy, sustainable, harmonious and fast development of the tourism industry.

The contest was launched in September 2013 and was initiated by the Lijiang government to promote the city’s tourism industry.
