Lijiang increases flights in summer holiday

Airline companies, including China Eastern Airlines and Kunming Airlines, have increased the holiday routes and flight frequencies to Yunnan, Xinhua.net reported.

Popular summer holiday destinations of Yunnan are Xishuangbanna, Lijiang and Mangshi. Flight frequencies have been increased and new air routes have been opened as passenger numbers continue to climb. Kunming Changshui International Airport has opened and increased the frequencies of 10 domestic routes including Changsha-Kunming-Lhasa, Kunming-Guilin and Kunming-Lijiang. Lijiang Airport has opened and increased the frequencies of nine domestic routes including Lijiang-Lhasa and Lijiang-Kaohsiung.

The flight frequency of Xishuangbanna to Kunming has been increased and a new air route between Dali and Changsha has been opened during the summer holidays.

Since the start of the summer holiday, the throughputs of airports in Yunnan have increased markedly. Kunming Changshui International Airport's departures reached 810 on July 11 which created a new record for its daily departures.
