Book release: An Oral History of Lijiang

According to Lijiang's culture study association, An Oral History of Lijiang was released on July 20.

"By collecting stories, we are preserving the history not only of Lijiang but also of the people who live in this city. It's a project that makes the history of Lijiang more vivid and more credible. Witnesses of Lijiang's history, especially those who understand Lijiang's history in the 1940s and 1950s, shared their stories, and specialists recorded them in vivid language," said Yang Guoqing, an official in Lijiang's culture study association.

The book will cover Lijiang's culture, living environment, customs, festivals and environmental protection. All the stories in this book are based on first hand accounts.
