Proposal for collecting donations for Ludian

A magnitude-6.5 earthquake hit Ludian county in Yunnan province on Aug 3 at a depth of 12km.

According to the website of the People's Government in Yunnan, 405 people were killed, 12 were missing and a further 2,297 injured as at 2:00 pm, August 2.

On the morning of August 4, volunteering emergency rescue teams from Lijiang's Red Cross arrived in the stricken area and immediately joined the rescue work.

Lijiang's Red Cross has also called for donations from the public to help the earthquake-affected area. All the donations will be posted on the official website of the Red Cross to ensure transparency.
