Press officers and journalists from Africa visit Lijiang

From Aug 1-2, press officers and journalists from Africa came to Lijiang and had a symposium with local representatives of the tourism, culture and media industries, Lijiang Daily reported.

Jiangyong, director-general of the cadre training center in the State Council Information Office, welcomed the African journalists and said that the visit brings a good opportunity for culture exchange between Africa and Lijiang. Also, it brings a good chance to promote cooperation between the two regions.

In the symposium, African journalists said that they were impressed by Lijiang's beautiful scenery and brilliant ethnic culture. They are so happy to have this chance to visit Lijiang.

Representatives from Lijiang's tourism bureau, newspaper office and TV station introduced the development of Lijiang's tourism industry and the construction of a news agency in the symposium.

The visitors were invited by the State Council Information Office. The journalists hailed from 12 different African countries, including Nigeria, Egypt and Zambia.
