Mid-Autumn Festival train ticket sales start on August 18

The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday for this year will fall on September 6 to 8. Starting on August 18, the first day's train ticket booking via phone and internet was opened to public. Additionally, travelers are able to purchase tickets at train stations or train ticket outlets from August 20.

The pre-sales period for online purchases and telephone purchases will last 20 days. Passengers can log on to China Railway Customer Service Center website (www.12306.cn) or call 95105105 for booking.

The staff from Kunming Railway Station said that the long-distance passenger pressure is relatively small during the three-day-long Mid-Autumn Festival holiday; however, the short and medium distance passenger traffic would be large, especially for intercity travel from Kunming to Qujing, Dali, and Lijiang in Yunnan province and Chongqing, Chengdu, and Guiyang in nearby provinces.

Passengers are reminded that they should try to plan their travel and book tickets in advance to avoid any disappointment.
