Lijiang receives 484,500 tourists over National Day holiday

According to the Lijiang holiday office, Lijiang received 484,500 tourists over the National Day holiday, an increase of 22.38 percent over the same period last year. The comprehensive income from the tourism industry surpassed 502.99 million yuan ($82.056 million) with an increase of 23.5 percent over the same period last year.

During Golden Week, Lijiang’s tourism market maintained steady growth. Statistics show that all of Lijiang’s scenic spots, except Lugu Lake, received more tourists over the same period last year.

Yulong Snow Mountain received 105,900 tourists, an increase of 21.44 percent over the same period last year. Lashihai scenic spot received 79,191 tourists, an increase of 17 percent.

Due to the construction of Lijiang-Ninglang Secondary Road, the Lugu Lake scenic spot only received 12,623 people over the holiday, a decrease of 48.23 percent over the same period last year. During Golden Week, the occupancy rates among Lijiang’s hotels reached 70.74 percent.

A total of 498 arrival flights brought more convenient transportation for visitors in Lijiang. Also, train services increased from 49 to 62.

During the National Day holiday, Lijiang’s tourism departments actively made tourism market checks and received 235 calls from tourists.
