Lijiang-Pu'er flight service starts operation

According to a news conference on Dec 17, a new flight service by Juneyao Airlines linking Lijiang and Pu’er will open on Dec 29, marking a big promotion in Lijiang’s flight service, Xinhua.net reported.

The Lijiang-Pu'er flight route will be operated every Monday and Friday. On the Lijiang to Pu’er route, the plane will start from Lijiang at 11:00am and arrive in Pu'er at 11:50am. The total flying time is only 50 minutes. On the Pu’er to Lijiang route, the plane will start from Pu’er Airport at 12:20pm.

The operation of the Lijiang-Pu'er flight route will help open the flight and air parcel market in Lijiang. Also, it will provide convenience to tourists traveling around Yunnan, constructing an "air bridge" in Yunnan.

Lijiang ancient town, located in the Lijiang autonomous county of the Naxi ethnic minority, Southwest China's Yunnan province, is one of the last surviving ancient towns in China. In recent years, Lijiang has become one of the most popular tourism destinations in China. Pu’er, located in the border area of Southwest China, is known as a natural museum of world tea culture and history.
