Lijiang Municipal Government signed a cooperative agreement with the Agricultural Bank of China on Jan 8,lijiang.gov.cn reported.

The bank will support Lijiang in characteristic industries, new industries, tourism, infrastructure construction and rural economy.

Zhang Zejun, mayor of Lijiang, extended his gratitude for the bank’s long-term support for the city.

He noted that the municipal government and the Party’s municipal committee have been working hard to establish Lijiang as an internationally renowned tourism resort with sound infrastructure.

"The agreement is a milestone for our cooperation," said Zhang. He noted that the municipal government will continue to support the Agriculture Bank of China’s development in Yunnan by offering the best environment and premium services.

He hoped the bank will continue to support industrial parks, people’s livelihoods, transportation, and infrastructure to achieve mutual benefit.

"We hope to have deeper cooperation and exchanges with the Lijiang Municipal government and meet the financial needs of the economic development in Lijiang," said Zhang Junru, head of the bank’s Yunnan Branch.

He also noted that the bank will expand cooperation with Lijiang to facilitate its development by making full use of its own advantages in brand, capital, channels and products.

Xiao Zhongwan, secretary of the Lijiang Municipal Government, and other officials from the finance department attended the signing ceremony.
