Love is in the air in Lijiang

Over the centuries many people have gotten lost in the beauty of Lijiang. To this day visitors come from across the globe to look for its 104 tourist attractions. And now those looking for love may have found number 105.

From Sept 14 to 15, the Yunnan UNESCO Heritage Site will host its first ever blind dating festival to bring those unlucky in love together under theme of “Love in the ancient city of Lijiang”.

Lijiang is famous for its two mountains, one city, one lake, one river, one culture and one loving feeling, and city officials will hope that that saying rings true in September.

Activities will include crooning love ballads and reciting romantic poetry, making moon cakes and even wedding ceremonies.

A total of 100 single men and women aged between 25 and 45 will take part in the two-day event.
