Lijiang held its first ethnic costume exhibition performance at a local key scenic zone on July 11.

Some 16 performance teams displayed 561 ethnic costumes on the catwalk. The costumes showcased unique clothing styles from local ethnic groups including the Bai, Pumi, Naxi and Lahu.

He Hongwei, Yulong county mayor, said, "The event, combined with dancing and singing, is full of local ethnic group culture, promoting the local development of the tourism and culture industry."

Yulong county will further organize traditional cultural activities and better services, including cultural festivals and folk customs festivals, to promote tourism in the county.
