Lijiang was licensed as a high-level talent introduction base in Yunnan province on Aug 21, as part of Yunnan's effort to attract high-level talents to work in the city through preferential policies.

Yunnan province issued talent introduction measures in 2016 to carry out ten flexible policies, including services outsourcing, project cooperation and technology investment.

Four academicians and 32 high-level experts in the fields of cultural tourism, plateau-based agriculture, biomedicine and healthcare were invited to visit Lijiang and participate in a series of service activities, such as inspections and consulting services.
