Calligraphy exhibition held in Lijiang

An exhibition featuring calligraphy, painting and photography works opened at the Lijiang Museum on Sept 5 and will last until Sept 25.

The Lijiang Museum has selected more than 60 works representative of Lijiang's beautiful natural scenery, ethnic customs and local social phenomenon.

He Jianquan, researcher at the Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of Lijiang, said, "The exhibited art works are rooted in Lijiang's rich culture. The exhibition not only provides a platform to enrich the culture of locals, but also boosts the development of Lijiang's arts industry."

He Zhong, head of the Lijiang Municipal Institute of Ethnic Arts Creation, said that the artists' works express Lijiang's unique culture, customs and beautiful landscapes. These works are mementos of the changing of ages and the development of society.
